Unfortunately there are many unqualified, uninsured, unlicensed and inexperienced contractors out there.
Insurance-we carry the correct Liability insurance for the work we do, not the minimum to get the certificate. Most liability insurances don't allow any exterior work on ladders or on roofs. We paid the extra money to ensure your safety and peace of mind. We also carry a workers comp policy covering our employees.
Licensed-We have a State of Michigan Builders License allowing us to do building and remodeling in the state of Michigan. State Law requires any alteration over $600 must be done by a licensed builder
Qualifications-Our staff certifications include:
•Home Inspectors Certificate-Allows us to perform inspections on homes for home buyers or for general inspection use.
•Lead Paint RRP- Common renovation activities like sanding, cutting, and demolition can create hazardous lead dust and chips by disturbing lead-based paint, which can be harmful to adults and children. Under the rule, beginning in April 2010, contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified and must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.
•CertainTeed Master Applicator-Certifies that we have been trained and passed the testing for CertainTeed shingles in following their specifications for installation. If you have a roof installed by an contractor that is not certified the roof warranty is void! Every installer and job foreman has passed this certification and in addition obtained the wizard level meaning an extra test with a perfect score.
